About The Base

The Base is a hand-checked catalog of free design assets: mockups, fonts, illustrations, icon sets, and Figma and Framer templates. We started it for a simple reason — great freebies exist all over the web, but finding the good ones (and knowing they are actually free to use) takes forever.

What we do

We track a growing list of design studios and freebie sources, pull in their free releases, and organize everything into one fast, searchable catalog. Every asset links back to its original source, so authors keep their traffic and their credit.

What makes the cut

• Real assets, not filler. Icon packs, not one-icon-per-page pages. Product previews you can actually judge on a dark screen.
• Legally free. We only list assets that are free to use, and we stay conservative about it — read our license page for the details.
• Credited at the source.Downloads happen on the author's own site whenever the license is link-only.

Who is behind it

The Base is built and run by the team behind Craftwork, a premium design-assets shop. The catalog is free and always will be — it is our way of giving back to the design community that we are part of.
