Privacy Policy
We keep it minimal: only what we need to run the catalog.
Last updated July 15, 2026
This policy explains what The Base collects, why, and the choices you have. Browsing the catalog does not require an account, and we do not sell your data — ever.
What we collect
- Account details. If you sign in, we store your email address and, for social sign-in, your name and avatar as provided by the login provider.
- Your activity. Favorites you save and freebies you submit, tied to your account.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email to send the digest. You can unsubscribe from any email.
- Basic analytics. Aggregate, privacy-respecting usage data (like page views) that helps us improve the catalog. We do not build advertising profiles.
Why we collect it
To run your account and favorites, review submissions, send the newsletter you asked for, keep the service secure, and understand which assets are useful. That is the whole list.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that make The Base work — for example our hosting, database, email delivery, and authentication providers — and only as needed to run the service. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
- Ask us to access or delete your account data via the contact page.
- Browse without an account — no sign-in, no stored activity.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Questions? Get in touch.
